Climategate
What could possibly be the greatest scientific scandal since the advent of Social Darwinism and the resulting public policy of Nazi eugenics. The revealing of a confidential email dialog between powerful and well funded United Nations IPCC scientists expose corrupt behavior and tribal group-think entirely unbecoming an internationally funded group of scientists. Ultimately, the context of the dialog must be understood in light of the history, the players and the scientific works of the global warming scare. Upon close examination of that history, those players, examination of both sides of the science, examination of the political agenda surrounding the global warming scare, I believe:
1. There is big business in global warming, to the tune of trillions of dollars a year.
2. Corporations, bankers, brokers and politicians stand to bankroll as a result of the anthropogenic climate change scare.
2. Environmentalism (a good thing) has grown in powerful circles to become harmfully fascist.
3. Environmental organizations have grown from grassroots to wealthy international funding machines for extreme environmental policies.
3. Large corporations in the United States that have invested in renewable technologies and carbon allowances, are now banking on a global policy of greenhouse gas regulation.
4. The mainstream media has evolved from an unbiased protector of the public good to a corporate spin machine. Many well funded scientists have followed suit.
5. The Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change is a public policy machine that touts scientific integrity but self selects its scientists to generate the metaphore's of policy, not substance of scientific truth.
6. The scientific conclusions and predictions of climate change and anthropogenic global warming should be heavily qualified on the basis of the uncertain nature of the very climate it attempts to predict.
7. The government policies developing in response to the scientific hypothesis of anthropogenic global warming are currently based on a underdeveloped scientific understanding of climate and the implementation of that policy could have consequences that are worse than the projected catastrophe of climate change and sea-level rise.
8. Scientists and their scientific works have the potential for corruption in proportion to the funding dollars, the prestige and the power that comes with the scientific pursuit. Never in history have scientist been elevated to such a power level where avoiding planetary catastrophe rests in the predictions of the proxy data and the "infallible" oracular AOGCM models of the Climatologists sect.
9. Climate science is showing significant levels of corruption within it's highest ranks and can no longer be blindly trusted by citizens and policy makers world wide.
Each citizen scientist should decide independently how they believe the science and policy of anthropogenic climate change rings true or false and what that means for our future.
